War Eagle!

Lurking for a while, finally decided to join up. Live and teach in/at Auburn. Been playing (mostly teles) for pushing 30 years now. Owned/played almost everything you can, but only tele's feel "right." Plus I'm simple, and 2 knobs/1 switch are about all I can keep track of.

My toys: 94 American Standard, sunburst, rosewood, Lawrence Twin in the bridge, 280 in the neck. And, for a change of pace, an '88 '52RI, dead stock. .11's on both.

Amps? I have a '68 SFDR (drip edge), '72 Vibro Champ, but usually run straight into a Peavey Nashville 400.

Monster cables, a tuner, red Dunlop Jazz III picks. That's it. Got a whole bag full of pedals of every variety but haven't touched them in years - basically since I figured out they wouldn't play the guitar for me.

Play out a couple times a month with my trio - mostly early rock: Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles, some Coasters, etc., plus some instrumentals (Caravan, Sleepwalk, etc.) - the good stuff.

So basically a guitar, cord, amp guy who tries to let his fingers do the talking - and trying my best to get more eloquent every day.

Let's see...what else...Fav Players: Snooks Eaglin, Jerry Donahue, Junior Brown, Steve Cropper, Jimmy Bryant, Danny Gatton, Ry Cooder, etc. Basically the pantheon.

Glad to join you.
