!983 Tele

G'day All,
I just picked up an original 83 tele. I just need some info if I can please. The neck has the date 18 sept 1983 and also stampen on it is G. Garcia. Can anyone shed any light on that for me. Also the pups have 2-c & 2-R on them. The body (in the neck socket has some printing but is hard to decipher. There is a black marker cross also in the socket.
Any ideas on all these. The pots are original and are from the 16th week 1983.
Cheers
Buckshot

Hey buckshot09.....Welcome to the Forum!!

I also have a 1983 Telecaster that I picked up right from the factory as a friend of mine had a music store in Garden Grove, Ca. and I got it through him. Mine was/is a top loader with a sunburst finish. I've heavily modified it over the years to what you see in the shot. I hope yours serves you as well as mine had for almost thirty years.........JH in Va.

Send me your vintage Tele and I will be happy to photograph it and post photos for you right here on the TDPRI. You will get it back in about 1-10 years, promise.

Thanks for all the replies. Nice pics amongst them as well. I'll take some pics if I can and show you the neck. The back of the peghead is also signed by an old friend Tommy Emmanuel. Thanks again also for the welcome. Cheers from Downunder
