Not new to Telecasters, just new here.

I live in central Virginia and I have had the same Tele for about 25 years. It is a well-played/non-original 1952. Nothing plays or sounds like it. Best part of the story? I traded a [very nice] Ibanez Roadstar II for it in the mid-1980's. The Tele owner had no clue and he loved my Ibanez, what can I say?!?!
