Yamaha sd 120 tele knock off

Hi from Ontario Canada!!Hope all is well with everyone. This looks to be a cool forum and I thought that I would introduce myself. A little background: I have been a guitar freak for more years than I care to admit, all things music and all things guitar are what drive me to bother with anything else.

Toured for many years as both Guitarist & Guitar Tech,Monitor tech and all purpose roadie. My main rig is a Les Paul Standard (1973) 50 watt Marshall head & 2, 4x 12 cabs (loaded with 25 watt ev's) also a really nice 1969 Fender Twin with a nice warm and ballsy tone.I do not run a lot of effects but I have a couple sde 3000 delays and a great sounding tc electronics chorus unit.

Recently I bought a Yamaha sd 120 guitar for a great price and wanted to do a little research about the type of pickups these guitars came with. Problem is I have been unable to locate any(rather, very little info) about the stock pickups. A good friend of mine said thathe felt the pickups were stock Yamaha's. Maybe, but they have a lot of bite like a duncan and they are very versatile whic I didnt think Yamaha was really known for.

As I said, Iam a tech and I do not think it would be too tough for me to find out what type pickups these are but I would rather not open it if someone knows what type these guitars came with. The axe is 100% original so thats what I would like to know.

If you have any information about these things I would greatly appreciate an email.

Thanks to al of you guitar lovers out there and I look forward to e mailing with a few of you

Cheers.

The only info I could find days the sd 120 came with 2 Yamaha humbuckers. Is that what you have?
The Yamaha Pacifica PA151MS(Mike Stern) model had Seymour Duncan pups (Hot Rails bridge, '59 neck). This guitar was modeled after the Tele that Stern bought from Danny Gatton(with Gatton mods), that was later stolen.
Hope this helps.
