Wanderer Returns

I am new to the forum having returned to my first love- Telecasters after flirting with and dabbling in many other guitars. Chuck Prophet was my first Tele Hero and then Warner E Hodges. Two brilliant rootsy players who I emulated for years but never got close and then I was unfaithful and strayed into Gretsch and Gibson territory and wasted many pounds - and dollars on both.

Back from the brink recently I was looking for a Nocaster when I stumbled on a Trussart Steelcaster and bought it. So far so thrilled but that Nocaster will come some day....soon.

Anyway great to be here and I really do feel like a sinner redeemed. I still have my 1987 USA Tele and actually used it at a club gig on Saturday for the first time in years and it was very raunchy; in fact I think it was more dynamic through my Maz 18 than I have ever heard it before...........perhaps it was giving me a timely reminder eh?

So hello to everyone and please tell me - do you use the middle and front pickup selection or stick mainly with the back pickup?

Cheers!

Welcome to the TDPRI! You did the right thing to register - good to have you with us.

May we see a pic of your gear please?

I use all positions on my 4-way P/U selector - whatever the particular song calls for.

Enjoy!
