New Board Guy

Hey everyone. New to this board. I've lurked here before never posted till this week. I've been bitten hard again by the "telebug". Had a 94 Tele Plus Lake Placid Blue/Maple. Sold it for $400 5 years ago to finance a freakin Variax! MISTAKE, although the Variax has a certain "thing" to it. Anyway always wanted back in the tele club. Finances had been tough so about 3 years ago, jumped on an Affinity Tele BSB. Stuck some Sperzels on it I had lying around, black guard, and a set of Lollar 52'a, and a 6 saddle bridge, and I drilled thru the body. Very nice guitar for about $400. Always wanted a 52RI. When the RW's came out, I tried like 6 of em. Could'nt bond with the RW. Played a 52RI one day after messing around with a RW Ash/Maple and the game was over. Didn't like the thin neck on the 52, or the old wiring, so I jumped on one of the remaining AVRI52 "thin skins" from Daves. Can't say enough about this axe, it's all that and more. Anyway so I'm in GC and another batch of RW's hits the stands. I grabbed an Ash/Maple, and this one just had it goin on, so to speak, and I took it home with me. Now I'm a fortunate man to own 2 great tele's, and a sleeper Affinity BSB(Lollars will do that). Great forum, i hope to be around here until my AVRI52 thin skin is properly "reliced".
