Help identifying a vintage strap

Hi there,

I have this vintage strap in excellent condition.

Looks like a '54 Fender strap.

Any connoiseur to confirm (or not)?

Thanks for your help!

Antoine

The buckle/keeper looks correct, and I don't think a '54 strap had the padding on the shoulder piece ... So yes, could be legit.

Not sure of the authenticity, great looking strap nonetheless.

FWIW, I have an original 58 Fender strap, and the buckle is different and the strap parts (not the center pad) are narrower. No idea about a 1954.

I think the '58 straps were more like the vintage ones that Fender makes today (I have one of those myself). I'm (almost) certain the '54 ones were wider and with a buckle like the OP's.
