This RG Tribute heavy aged Stratocaster* is really a thing of beauty. I wanted to build one now for some time, and am glad I finally did! Rumpelstiltskin pickups are some of the finest handwound pickups you can get. Other pickups may have more name recognition, but mark my words - that's only temporary. All Rumpelstiltskin pickups are hand-wound using only the finest materials and skill. Toss in Aaron's knowledge and you've got the makings of some of the best pickups you're going to hear anywhere. The mid 50s - early 60s output and tone of the "Pre-CBS" set is pure classic Stratocaster*. Each pickup is powerful and clear sounding on its own with that glassy Stratocaster* sound. The bridge is strong, bright and clear but not the least bit dirty. The middle pickup has a rounded, bright and very clean tone, while the neck pickup is rich and bluesy without sounding dark or muddy at all. The "in between" 2 & 4 positions have plenty of that classic Stratocaster* "quack". These pickups sound equally great with or without effects! The middle pickup is RWRP for noise cancellation when either the bridge and middle or neck and middle pickups are selected (positions 2 & 4). The Musikraft neck is, in a word, great! This neck doesn’t play like it’s one inch thick at the first fret due to the 1 5/8” nut width. Those of you that know the comfort of a fat neck already know the other reason to have a neck with some girth - tone. The larger chunk of timber means more sustain, and the large necks really are easier to play in the long run, IMHO. Speaking of sustain, this Strat* will not let you down. Clean or with some overdrive, notes sustain for as long as you need. The satin finish of the heavy aged body feels great under your arm without the usual stickiness associated with sweating on a hot stage with a smooth finish. The 5-way harness gives you the usual Strat* positions. The positions are (from back to front):
This guitar is setup, stage ready and just waiting for musician! You will not be disappointed! It has been assembled with the same care and attention to detail as all of our products. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() *TundraTone is NOT affiliated with Fender Musical Instrument Corporation (FMIC) or any other musical instrument manufacturer - no way, no how.
