Hi kennl; Sounds like a great guitar!! When it comes right down to it...I guess all Teles are really partscasters...just Fender parts!! Let us know when your tunes are finished.

In tunes 7 & 8, I understand the cascading chromatic open runs, but how are those harmonic ascending and descending cascades pulled off? By the way, where are you located in CT?

Hi jdtele; Those open, harmonic cascades in Cannonball Rag, and Simpletown Breakdown, are embarrasingly easy!! With forward, and reverse banjo rolls under your hands, they're a breeze (coupled with the woodshed, and a lot of coffee ). They're all done at the 7th, and 12th frets. I'll tab it out, and email it to you. As to my location: I'm way up in the Litchfield Hills, Northwest Connecticut.

Totally awesome playing, those call & response phrases are just beautiful. You really have some interesting looking guitars you coaxed those amazing tones out of too! I can't quite figure out the controls that are under the tone knob on the 5 pickup Tele, can you describe them for me please?

Thanks anfontan!!...Those controls couldn't be easier...4 Jag, chrome covered, pu's on the pickguard, are switched by a Bass VI switchplate...each switch 1-4, corresponds to it's respective pickup. The 3 way Tele switch works as a standard Tele.....back pos./bridge pickup.... middle pos./bridge + selected front pickups.....Front pos./ selected front pickups.

Thanks also P.J.!!

Telesavant,

Awesome! Thanks for the sharing.

I just started playing guitar ~ 1 year ago, and just purchased my first Tele yesterday ... boy I have a long way to go ... good thing I believe it is the journey and not the destination that maters.

Great!! Thank you!

Exceptional pedal-steely sounds you get out of the Tele, and I especially love the clean unfuzzed quality.

Wish I could play remotely as virtuos. Alright, no boredom for many a year for me...

Greetings -
Luther

Thanks, KTdid!! Yes, I was busy, and while most intelligent folks have a pension coming....I have my Tele. There is about 10-30% bender in any given tune...mostly manual bends though.

Also....thanks, Twang , HOBBSTER01, and trag-o-caster for taking the time to listen!!

Hey Cygnus;.....here's the tab to Simpletown Breakdown #8. It clears up well if you click on the green arrows in the bottom right of enlargment. Sorry so late....let me know how you do.

Thanks for that last tab, that certainly helped with the intro to tune 8, although it's still alluding me. Now, how about tabing out the harmonic runs for tune 7 + 8, as I am ready to smash my guitar!! thanks.
