Don't Call On Me Now
A little old style folk/country/bluesy song I wrote a month or so back. Played on an acoustic (Seagull) with lead on a Tele. I'm interested in constructive criticism on any aspect - I'm really trying to improve as a songwriter and player so don't feel awkward pointing out weaknesses.

I liked the style, reminded me of Hank Williams sr. for some reason.
Criticism: I think the lyrics (especially on the verses) are a little buried in the mix compared to the guitars. Great job! |

I hear you on the mix. I'm pretty green at mixing - the vocals either sound overly dominant or muddy in the mix... Maybe sometime I'll get better. Thanks, Josh |
