Tune Danny Gatton played--gulp!

Here's a take on "Lil Darlin," a tune I've always loved. It's usually done slow, but Danny Gatton did a great uptempo version with Buddy Emmons on "Redneck Jazz Explosion."

I took a crack at it--the track is all telecaster, with me playing upright bass as well. Head is in the middle position, comping and solo on the bridge

Danny double timed his solo. Needless to say, I didn't double time mine!

In a couple minutes I'll post it as a backing track, with no solo, if anyone wants to take a crack at it

Gatton's version is way cool--swings hard in a country way, very nicely done

And here's the backing track--anyone want to throw down?

I'll bet Chris S., as a die hard Gatton-ite, has played this tune more than once
