Garage Sale Life... Dark & Jangly Rock

I was going to do a little more work on this track, but I decided to create a MySpace page and I threw this song up on it. along with some older tracks, one of which is also making its public debut.

It's got acoustic and electric guitars, live drums and some synth. Discuss and inquire, if you're so inclined.

hey skully
i listened to every song on your myspace. to me it sounds something akin to the b-52's, yet with a cowboy junkies sort of vibe (transformation is really cool imo). you've always commented on my stuff, so i was curious what you had going on. I like it, alot. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for listening. The B-52s meets The Cowboy Junkies is not a comparison I'd ever thought of -- the bands are certainly not ones I'd consider "influences" -- but I can kind of see where you're coming from with "Versatile Solutions for Modern Living" (B-52s) and "Transformation" (Cowboy Junkies).

Strangely, I consider all four of the songs posted on my MySpace page to be atypical of what I write. I guess I'd better start finishing some tracks that are more "typical."

Good song, good vocals, had a " Moody Blues' vibe to it.

Thanks for the kind comments and taking the time to listen.

Ironically, apart from "Nights in White Satin," I can't stand The Moody Blues! That's why it's so fascinating to get this kind of feedback. It's like watching surveillance video of yourself walking through a store and thinking, "I look like that?!"
