Another fun re-make: Mama Tried

Whilst I've been on a kick of my favourite old country classics, I decided to put another one together for fun.
I posted it on the Z forum, so figured-what the hell - may as well put it up here too, since there might be some around this place who like classic country. ;)

I tried to give this one a little extra spice and drive without getting carried away or taking too much away from the original.
Out of respect for the original, I kept the signature parts almost verbatim.

This one was a lotta fun.

Cheers,

Shawn

Very Good.

Thanks Shawn.

What's the weather like over in Canada right now? We've got a mild spell, but may be facing some colder weather as the wind changes to come from Russia.

Thanks.

Well, we've got some absolutely incredible weather for January. It's been unseasonably warm this year. We have hardly had winter at all so far this year.

Much of January has been in the plus temperatures.

If we can make it through February, we're home free. :D

Cheers,

Shawn

Sounds great Shawn!! The weather here in New England has been the same. The ground is snow free and I like that. Outside of one storm,Winter so far has been a piece of cake.

Great sound Shawn. What compressor are you using ? It still retains the great twang on the E-A strings which is hard to get with floor pedal comps. usually.

Nothing speciall really, just my stock Boss CS3 compressor.
I also tend to pick close to the bridge on the lower strings to give 'em some extra dose of twang. LOL

For that song, it's LM7 used in Cubase SE.
Not the best, but it's passable.
