mic check, mic check, one, two

I just recently got a pair of Cascade Fathead II Ribbon mics and just threw them up on my Twin Reverb RI eager to hear how they record (as my first experience w/ ribbons). I was playing through a US Tele Nashville.

I was just noodling around and just wanted to make sure I cover the highs and lows. First, just clean, then some drive and last a melody w/ two guitars.

I was pretty satisfied considering the modest cost of the Fatheads, and I was running them through a (budget priced) ART Digital MPA preamp. No post processing or effects was applied at all either, just cut / copied and bounced down.

.... am I just partial to my own tone or does this sound like it has potential, thoughts?

Sounds good. Especially the cleaner part in the beginning of the sample.
The Cascade Fathead II sounds great..but I don't know if I'm ready to spend two hundred bucks on one..yet...but your clip is mighty persuasive...
