What genre would you classify this one??

I recorded this about 10 days ago with my son and his friend Brian, who created the song. Brian played my Taylor K20 and sang. My son played my ES137 Custom for the dark guitar bit near the end of the lyrics. I put a bass line to it, laid the maracas in, did the steel part on my '53 Dual 8 and then played the 2 guitar intro and outro parts. One on a '57 historic goldtop, the other on a '65 Strat. I've done a little clean up to the recording but it is nowhere near polished yet, so please excuse any defects as this was a handmade item made from all natural materials. ;-)

I've listened to it alot and can't decide what genre it best fits into.... what is your impression of the genre?? Thanks!

I like it, but like you I can't really decide where it fits. I here elements of several genres. I noticed on the player you had Folk Rock listed. I think that's a good fit.

I adjusted the mix some more and edited the recording a touch. Here's the new link.... Still not sure of the genre, I guess nobody else is either. ;-)

Country track with Altrock vocal. I've heard it called Altcountry and that's spot on for this track IMO.

Nice post man, happy new years. :)
