Greeny blues instrumental - 1968 Gibson Trini Lopez Special

This is my rendition of the old Peter Green blues instrumental "Greeny"as first recorded circa 1967 by John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers.

The guitar is a 1968 Gibson Trini Lopez Special in mint condition. The bass is a 1963 Rickenbacker 4001.

The guitar is played straight into a 1973 Peavey theClassic 50 watt tube amp with Alnico speakers, no effects. Also this is recorded as a live guitar performance with no "edits" or redubs in the recording studio so it is as real as it gets, warts and all.

The drums are realized on a 1992 Boss DR-660 Dr. Rhythm.

Recorded on the Yamaha AW1600 Professional Workstation.

I HOPE YOU LIKE IT

Bill

I dig it...a lot. Gritty and raw. I don't think it would be possible to nail that tone with a tube amp emulator.
