Some blues from Melbourne...

,,, from a gig I forgot we recorded!!!

go to this myspace page...

www.myspace.com/mojobros2mantrio

and have a listen.

I got the raw files today (off a Roland 8 track digital doo-hickey) mixed and mastered them in Cubase SX (very quickly)
The lineup--
Me- gtr and vocals
Jeffery Herbert- bass
LuDog- harp
Darren McCarthy-drums

Some of the guitar is my 52RI, some is Jeffery's 62RI Strat, and the slider is my Ibanez Blazer.
Guitar amp--Peavey Rage w/ Eminence 10"
Bass amp--Roland Bass Cube 30watt
harp amp-- battery powered Pignose

Lui the harp player is a young Peruvian guy I met while he was busking. Nice kid, and mad keen for the blues. He's travelling Australia at the moment.

Hope you dig 'em. I was grinning while I mixed these!!

Nice one Dave_O, i was reading the blogs too, seems like we are up against the same stuff gig wise, here it's selling pubs and then turning them into posh 'gastro' pubs with doormen etc ------- like there was something wrong with the old 'pub grub' pie's and chips etc ?

S*d 'em al Dave_O, we'll get there eventually !!

Thanks John. Got some more tunes up now.
We lost two icon venues here over the last five years or so (plus heaps of others...), The Punter's Club and the Duke of Windsor to a company that guts them and turns them into... get this... doof-doof gourmet pizza places complete with the aforementioned doormen and w@nker punters. The things you see when you haven't got a rocket launcher.....
