Omega '76 Blues -- old school Bluesbreakers like guitar Instrumental

This is a an old school John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers type of blues with a funky Rhythm section under straight ahead blues. NO EQ OR COMPRESSION SOUND EFFECT WAS USED on this recording just <an unnamed> pedal, guitar and amplifier.

This style was made popular in the 1960's and early 1970's by John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. One of my guitar influences is Peter Green and to a lesser extent, Harvey Mandel, both of Bluesbreakers fame.

Playing this on the 1976 Electra Omega X210 guitar, a Les Paul Custom with the funktastic Magnaflux 50 pickups, mahogany body with set neck, and Jacaranda fingerboard. It took me many years of looking to locate this fine guitar.

I am playing the lead guitar through <unnamed pedal> of my own design.

The guitar amplifier is a 1973 Peavey theClassic 50 watt tube amp through both its own speakers and with an added 1x12 closed back cabinet, each miked separately.

THERE IS NO EQ ON THE GUITARS. Just miked as the sound came out of the amplifier.

Recorded on the Yamaha AW1600 Professional Audio Workstation on April 11, 2009

Thanks to Larry Fritts for the drums and bass track!

Bill
