Solo Tele Blues 12 bar ramblings

Hi,
I just thought I would post this here to give it an airing. I recorded it a few weeks ago on my MIM white Tele (upgrade model). I went into a line 6 toneport into my pC. It is just a loose 12bar in A and is not meant to be anything special just a jam really. I hope you enjoy it.
TELE JAM

Regards

Paul

Stylin'! Very nice clip. Full of sparkling clear Tele mojo! I wish I could play like that!

Beautiful playing, and spot-on, classic Tele tone all the way!! Tight and bright with depth!

Whatchya usin' for pickups?

Thanks very much for the comments!
The pickups are the ones fitted as standard on the guitar. It is the MIM upgrade model, which I'm told has a slightly higher output p/ups than usual. It certainly has a lot more punch than my 50s classic MIM Tele. I'll try to record that one over the next few days for a comparison using the same Toneport settings to check the variation in sound.

Regards
Paul

Just goes to show ya.... Ya don't have to spend hundreds for boutique pups (which I'm guilty of!), if you know how to dial in, and EQ your tone properly!!

You got an ear for essential Tele tone...

Heck yeah man! ...Post more!

Sounds like a Tele to me! Nice Job and great tone. What Guitar Port settings did you use?

And while you're at it, may as well post a pic of your MIM!

I am now gonna give that another listen.

Thanks for sharing.

Many thanks for the nice comments everyone
I'm trying to record a track using my other Tele, a 50's Classic MIM. I'll post that too when I record a decent take!
Steve, Im using my own patch via Line6 Pod farm. It's the Bassman model with a touch of distortion, compressor and reverb. I can share the patch if you have compatible software/hardware.

I jst thought I'd add this recording I just did. It's me jamming with my 50s Classic on the neck pickup through Boss RC20XL loop pedal. I lay down the chords with a walking bassline and then jam over the top. I had nothing else to do this evening
JAZZ

Hope you like it.

Cheers

Paul

That was great, Paul. I'm so excited to start playing jazz on my new Tele. It's got THE sound I've been looking for and plays like a dream. I should get something like a looper to practice with. That sounds like a fun thing to play with. Great stuff!

Thanks! It's a great tool for practising and for use in my lessons. I can demonstrate any licks or solos over a chord backing very quickly. It's good if I want a student to play along with my rhythmn backing or for recording their efforts. I can set the loop pedal to provide a chord backing for them whilst I go for a coffee and watch some TV. I just tell them to leave the money when they've finished

Ahhh coffee and a serious dose of twang in the morning. I'm on my way to see James Burton and Dale Watson today in Austin. This was a nice way to get ready for it. mmmmmmmmm
