Sincere thanks for your comments guys. Much appreciated
Telemarkman: Good eyes! It's a Japanese Vintage Reissue from 1982/3, actually a domestic JV series (basically like a Squier JV but with a proper spaghetti logo and a JV serial number). These ones came from the factory with nitro finished bodies and 'bakelite' scratchplates It's a ridiculously nice guitar easily on a par with a USA '52RI. Apologies if I misled anyone with the title re: my tele. Thanks again all, I'm glad you enjoyed the clips. Ron Btw Telemarkman: What gave it away? 12th fret dot spacing? Wow, thanks all! Really kind comments
91xlntS-3: The BDRI is brand new with zero mods, I've had it about a week. The 'Tin Pan Alley' track is played through a Tweed Blues Junior, if you find a comparison interesting. Is yours an original BD? They've gone up in price here to the point where it's cheaper to buy a brand new one than to find a 90's original Thanks again guys. |

Thanks Ron. Mine is one of the newer Re-Issues, maybe a couple years old. No mods.
Really liked your tone with your Tele, and you're a very smooth player, very nice! I'm playing thru a 2000 Model (USA) Blues Jr. now and loving it! Will have to pull up your video and compare the BJr to the BD. Thanks for sharing, it all sounds great!! |
