other old one...weird

this is a very strange song. it was basically a spontanious effort. years ago, me and a guitar playing buddy met with 2 other musicians to discuss the possibility of joining forces. we met at their house where they had a little 4 track waiting.... they asked us to write a song, right now. we were not expecting to be put on the spot like this but gave it our best effort. i quickly made up a little chord progression on the guitar, added some words from my journel (which i always carried around)... a backwards guitar solo and some kooky drum machine antics and tada....!

its a bit long, and did i mention, weird ?

this is very cool, i like it.

spontaneous songwriting can yield great results, and not the same as compositions that get 'overworked".

to me. the best way to to turn these type sessions into really great songs is to distill the key elements without losing the original feel. many many famous bands have tried to do this, some of them succeeded!

I like it! Kinda reminds me of King Missile, a little. I love spontaneous recording.
