Thanks Old Cane. A little goofy in parts, but fun to do anyways.
I remember doing a song once as a teenager on an old casette thingy with 4 tracks, but as of that, these are the first experiments. The Boss recorder makes it so all you need is a guitar. The bass is a setting, you just plug in your 6 string, and the drums are programable, even though they are a little cheesy sounding. |

It sounds like you got the hang of it to me...
I used to be interested in the Boss until TASCAM came out with the DP-01, which is actually easier than the average four track cassette machine. It doesn't have any effects of virtual tracks though - which is fine by me. I didn't get to hear too much - just part of your first tune - but I did hear some nice guitar tones though. Keep it up!

Wat to go Kenny .
Those Boss gadgets are cool . We used them for a while before I started experimenting with pc . A few tunes on my site were done with the BR-1600CD , and my m8 used to get drum patterns etc going in seconds . Cool tunes there buddy . Can't wait to hear what you do next with ya boss

I have a Boss BR-864; I think your unit replaced mine...
If you mess with the kit settings, you should find a non-cheesy tone you like. I almost always use the "hard" setting for my drums. I like your songs. |

I just picked up a Boss BR-8. It's probably ancient technology by today's standards, but I wanted something inexpensive to tool around with before sinking much $$ into it. It's a HUGE improvement over my old Tascam 4 track and pretty simple to use, although the manual seemed pretty intimidating at first.

Kenny,
Seriously, the first two I listened to so far (Garage and Goofin) are the best songs I've heard on Soundclick. Those songs should be played live now. They got some Keef riffs going there, some surf stuff, fantastic! Mind if I steal them? |
