Score Posting Test

I'm testing alternatives for posting music on the forum as an alternative to "tab typing"

The above was done in "guitar pro", saved as a BMP file and opened in MS Paint where the title text was added. It was then "saved as" a JPEG file, then uploaded to photobucket, allowing it to be posted as an image.

I see that it has been shrunk a little, clicking on the image brings it bigger in another window where it is legible, but still not as big or as clear as the original.

Perhaps with a smaller excerpt rather than a whole song it would have retained the larger format when saved to photo bucket...the original jpeg on my computer is perfect so it must have shrunk in the uploading to photobucket due to size restrictions.

The main reason for testing this kind of alternative is the limitations of TAB for conveying ideas and music, especially the rhythm aspects and things like melodic line that often gets hidden.

This kind of thing allows both standard notation and tab as well as chord boxes and fingering and even the ability to notate or add stuff in the editing while in paint.

So...a partial success...if anyone is reading this, feel free to comment or make suggestions

Here's another attempt..hmmm

Made the chord boxes bigger in guitar pro...otherwise same procedure...still looks pretty small...again probably because whole song and not just a few bars

The answer may be to save something like this in three different pages/images

Still...promising

OK...thought I'd try the above by editing down to two halves in Paint...see if this makes it larger...hmmm
