Register to WIN Fender Road Worn 50's Tele from Sweetwater and the TDPRI
WIN a Fender Road Worn 50's Tele!
March 23, 2009 WIN a FREE Fender Road Worn 50's Tele! Sweetwater Music and the TDPRI are giving away a FREE Fender Road Worn 50's Tele on May 1st. And all you have to do is register to win. Click here to register: REGISTRATION CLOSED About the Fender Road Worn 50's Tele: The Fender Road Worn '50s Tele puts the looks and feel of a well-used vintage Telecaster in your hands - without the vintage price tag! Looking at the Road Worn '50s Tele, you'd swear it was a classic instrument with some serious road miles on it, but this one's brand-new. Though it looks vintage, this guitar's two Tex Mex single-coil pickups provide increased output for playing a range of styles. This axe features a real nitrocellulose lacquer finish on its distressed alder body, while its maple neck and jumbo frets make the Road Worn '50s Tele a joy to play. Fender Road Worn '50s Tele Features: * Alder body * Maple neck and fingerboard * Nitrocellulose lacquer finish * Tex Mex Tele single-coil neck and bridge pickups * 6105 narrow jumbo frets * Fender Vintage-style tuning machines * Deluxe gig bag included About Sweetwater Music: If you're looking for a trustworthy place to buy gear, we recommend Sweetwater. The people there really know their stuff. Plus, you can call and talk with someone who'll get to know you, your rig, and your goals, so they can help make sure that you're getting the right gear for you in the long-term. Check them out at www.sweetwater.com. Sweetwater has pictures of over 1,200 guitars and basses in their online Guitar Gallery, where you can see multiple close-up images of the exact instruments they have in stock. Check it out at url]www.sweetwater.com/guitargallery[/url] When you buy a guitar from Sweetwater, they do a very cool thing: they put it through a 55-point quality check to make sure it's in prime condition. Even if you're just buying strings or accessories, Sweetwater will ship them to you free, with no minimum order required. That (along with no sales tax) can save you some serious bucks. No good reason for this, but when the question is asked the standard reply is some rubbish about legal issues, blah, blah, blah. Seems like the world wide web is not as global as it ought to be.

i only ask because if they will sell/ship you one, they should let you play... as for me... i think the "road-worn" part is completley silly (JMHO) and i would never pay a grand for one (again JMHO) .... but count me in for a freebie!!!

Boo... the Fundraiser/Giveaway always manages to work internationally despite any laws that may get in the way. I assume this great giveaway is part of our 10th birthday celebrations? Pity it's exclusive

What's even sadder is no-one here from the Forum has had the decency to explain why the Out Of America members have been excluded from this competition and doesn't make you feel welcome.Am glad I'm not in a sinking boat...... |

I live in Canada and I was able to register. At least it said I was registered .
I wasn't really expecting to be able to register however (and maybe I'm actually not EDIT: Even though it said "You are registered" I just went back and read the disclaimer and it does say you need to be a resident of the USofA. So why would it say I was registered I wonder? EDIT 2: I just re-entered again to make sure I wasn't mistaken the first time and it looks like it went through without a problem. I don't know?!!

Sorry international members -- this guitar is being given away by Sweetwater. I think that part is pretty clear. However, those of you complaining about no international winners are missing the extremely relevent point that... Sweetwater doesn't sell overseas. I doubt if a UK company offered a free guitar in a giveaway that they'd include the USA in their giveaway if they don't sell in the USA. Do you?
And, grumblers please take notice, all the TDPRI giveaways DO include international members and there have been PLENTY of international winners too. So, how about taking just a minute to understand the situation? Maybe? |
