So long from Summer NAMM

Press Room, Summer NAMM (Nashville, June, 20, 2008)

I'm back in the Press Room at Summer NAMM Nashville and about ready to head to the airport. It was a whirlwind 6 hours and a real blast. I met lots of TDPers and saw some GREAT guitars.

I'll have LOTs to post about when I get back.

One of the highlights of the day was the time I spent with Bill Lawrence and Arlo and Stephent2 in the BL booth (And, with Becky lawrence, too!). Great people and great players and really a fun bunch to hang out with. Plus Bill and Arlo showed me details of Bills new "secret" pickups. They're not available yet, but Arlo's got 'em in his "Dalmore" Tele you've been hearing about.

Oh, and I got to play that pine Dalmore beauty. What a treat that is.

Another highlight was spending time with "Rockin Carl" in the Hahn guitars booth. Chihoe Hahn has got some of the finest looking T-STyle guitars you've ever seen.

Plus, the Fender Booth!!! Don't get me started. I spent a lot of time with Mike Eldred, head of the Custom Shop and went to school on the CS Masterbuilt Paisley Tele... and the details of the Paisley paper saga.

So, let me go catch my plane and give me time to upload a buttload of photos and you'll see it all for your self.
