Is this a good deal for a new USA tele?

Hey, guys im looking for a telecaster for a project (im going to hack a part out of it and put a chip in it! ;-))

but it has to be a really nice and playable tele but nothing fancy.

Ive been looking at MIJ teles because I like the looks of them and I know they are decent but the best price ive gotten so far is $800 shipped for the 62 custom

I was on Harmony Central and someone posted this link for a cheap price ($749)on an American tele and its making me reconsider.
IS this a really great deal?
Is this a reputable dealer?

Should I just wait for a used black 62 ri on ebay?

its says 900something on the page but when you add it to the cart its 749

He is a well known and established Dealer...and that's a pretty damn good price...if that's what you want ?

see thats the thing, its NOT what I had in mind, but I COULD get somewhat close, it would be MIA and cheaper...

Im thinking about pulling the trigger on the "vintage white" with rosewood

Though, im not sure what "vintage white" is for Fender.

Those are the American Series which have now been replaced with the American Standard. That is a great price. If it is a reputable dealer, I say go for it.

from the pic, it's the 2007 American Series, so I'd say yeah.

Compare it to the link you posted. I bought the American Series in December and I love it.

I think that's a reasonable price but certainly not a great deal. I recently consigned a 2007 American Series model with Elderly and they priced it at $700 w/o a case. So $750 with a case sounds about right.

Sorry, I didn't catch that. In that case, I revise my opinion: $750 is a very good price. I wonder why they've cut the price so low? My used Am Series sold within 1 day at $700. It was in excellent condition (I didn't like it so I never played it), but it was used nonetheless.
