Congrats on this Squier.
These are made in Indonesia at the Cor-tek plant, and are distinguished by their black headstock and mirrored pickguard (which can be saved for appropriate occasions). It is the same weight as most Squier Standard Teles, and I think the bridge pickup ain't too bad. You could install 250K CTS pots, perhaps an Electrosocket. But the first thing I'd replace is the nut. Enjoy.

Thanks guys...I absoulutely LOVE this guitar..I couldnt put it down last night..and d@mn I love the looks of it...
My only gripe is that there are no screw holes in the pickguard to enable me to raise or lower the neck pickup. Its pretty low and there is a bit of volume difference between the bridge and the neck, so I would like to raise it a little bit. Other than that though folks....Squier sure has raised the standards in their quality of guitars. I have this Squier Tele and a Jagmaster and I absoulutely love them both. |

I visit their shop once in a while, and they always have some cool guitars - and they seem to know their stuff too. It is in a very neat section of Pittsburgh.
Last time I was there, I was checking out some old Silverface Twins that were just calling my name! I'll have to take one of my Teles there next time.

Congrats on the new guitar!
I bought a tele from Pittsburgh Guitars a little over a month ago. They were easy to work with and it came fast and well packed. I would definately do business with them again. |

Thanks EZChair. I agree, they were very easy to deal with, great packaging, and i swear they set the guitar up...new strings and all. The Tele was perfect. In fact, i need to call them, i want to find out what strings they put on. Theyre great. I also think they may be 11's as they seem a little thicker than the 10s i normally use. But I think it makes it sound better, as this is the "biggest" sounding Tele I've ever heard.
