Japanese Artist Models
The thread with photos of the various Japanese Teles led me to wonder if there are any signature models for Japanese artists? (Analagous to the Tak Matsumoto Les Paul).

Fender Japan makes a Dr K (Hirofumi Tokutake) signature telecaster.

there are many, most builders not sold nor known outside the country. Zodiac is not connected to Fernandes as far as I know, could be wrong though, Fernandes did make that model first but Zodiac is a high end maker in Japan, maybe Hotei...think that spelling is right...just wanted to upgrade...though Fernandes did have 3 or 4 versions of that model, the top end selling for a lot of dough. Fernandes catalogs are full of artist models as are the ESP catalogs, THAT company sure doesn`t mind bending the guitar building rules, they make some very...different...guitars. Both Gibson and F/USA build/built Japanese artist models sold exclusively in Japan.
