First Tele, First Mods

I have completed my first set of mods on my first Telecaster so I thought I would share. The guitar is a 2007 MIM standard and I added the pearloid pickguard and some GFS lil puncher XL's (vintage wind). Here are some pics ...

I really like the sound of the pickups. No more hum and the bridge still has the tele twang. The neck pickup is darker, almost bordering on a little muddy.

Great looking guitar--my first mod was a four-way switch on a highway one. So, how does it sound?

If you feel the neck pickup is too muddy, try switching to 500k ohm pots if you haven't got them already and/or a no-load tone pot. Sometimes lowering neck humbuckers a tad can reduce the mud as well; it worked on my SG!
