Strange neckplate - E bay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VINTAGE-FENDER...QQcmdZViewItem

Heres what appears to be a 69ish neckplate, but I'm pretty sute the numbers are a style Leo never used.

The F logo looks to have the engraving too deep and too broad as well. Am I being suspicious?

Check the seller's feedback.

He has 100% but his recent descriptions all have the "I don't know if it's genuine but..." or "My mate says it's a..." clause in the description despite the heading stating Fender or Gibson.

Compared to both my 68 and mi CIJ the "F" logo is wrong with rounded edges in the wrong places. The "2" doesn't match up to my 2 either. Bad fake! IMO

The "F" stands for failure.
