Excellent James Burton Video

James here tears it up on his 50's Telecaster with a rosewood Stratocaster neck on it! This video puts to rest the maple/rosewood argument.

He had great stage presence as well.

I thought it was just me and because I was fairly new needed a secret handshake or high sign to view the video

I'm kinda new here too so I might not know the secret handshake either. too bad... Good James Burton stuff seems hard to come by online. I think he's pretty tight w/ permission to use his stuff.

Pretty straight forward, although it took me like 9 trys....

if the URL from youtube is: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wm4ppyF1D_A" you just grab the id after the "v=" and drop it in the youtube link tool.

Oh my God! That's what I get for staying up way past my bed time and getting sucked into youtube.

Here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dv0cpjCi-6E

Having all those girls dance around you must be a plus as well.

Some great bends in that slippery solo!
Almost B-bender smooth.

Wow, I'd never seen that video before - great!

Burton's playing couldn't be mistaken for anyone else, maple or rosewood - even Strat neck ...

Every time I see James in action makes me realize why I love his style so much. And consider when this stuff was done it's just makes it that much better.

Somehow I think we have lost "it" in modern music.
