Arlo's Dad

Arlo and I had been corresponding briefly about his dad's falling accident and recovery.

Sadly, this morning a little past 8am, his father passed away. His family was there with him. Arlo, I've sent you a PM. I just felt the rest of our extended family here, would like to share your burden right now.

Heaven has a new angel, for that we rejoice.
Take care my friend.
Michael

Arlo-I just want you to know how sorry I am that you lost your dad. It is never easy to lose those who are so important to our lives and who in fact gave us the opportunity to breathe. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I lost my dad to a heart attack 18 yrs ago when I was 12. But one thing I've learned since then is that it's never easy to lose a parent.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Arlo - I am so very sorry.

My father was killed in a car accident 8 years ago. It took me a long time to recover from that. I think of him every single day and I remember all the wise things he taught me and I try to focus on how lucky I was to have had him for the many years I did. Now I can talk about him without crying and laugh at all the funny things he did and said. My oldest daughter is getting married this summer and I can't believe he wont be able to be with us for this joyous event. But I know that he will be there in spirit.

I know how hard making arrangements and the funeral are and how much it takes out of you. Try to rest and take care of yourself during this difficult time.

Arlo,

We lost my father without warning the day after Christmas 1999.
I am so sorry to hear that you have had to put on those "shoes we hoped we would never have to wear".
It may not seem possible right now, but in time that empty spot in the middle of your chest will be filled with the wonderful memories that will become a celebration of who Dad is (because the legacy of a person's impact on others never dies).

Love to your family from mine,
Andy
