Telecaster Choice Help

Hi all, looking at getting a new telecaster. I currently have a black 72 tele custom reissue (mim), which I think is amazing. For me the neck is pretty much perfect. I'm looking at possibly getting another telecaster with as similar neck to the 72 as possible, preferably in a sunburst finish. Im in to radiohead, foo fighters, smashing pumpkins, brand new etc. Any help on tele choice would be execellent
cheers

IMO the '72 Custom is the best of the three Classic Series '72s.

But as I am not exactly sure what aspects of the neck on your guitar have you hooked; I can't recommend other models with different necks as I have no way of knowing how you'll like them. I'd just tend to steer you away from the '72 Thinline and the '72 Deluxe; your 72 does everything I care to do better than them.

Nothing wrong I suppose in trying to find a nice Custom in sunburst; I wish there were more of them in colors other than black. You could then change the pickups in whichever of the two pleases you less; altho a different bucker will mean a new pickguard.

Also, play a US G + L Bluesboy, preferably with a Seth Lover neck pup.
