Trimmed and Burnin' that is one amazing guitar that I would be proud to have on my arm. That's another thing. I can see it know...look at that guy with the "too pretty" woman on his arm. Ya...that'll happen. Nobody would ever say that about your guitar man. The wood is to die for. That's amazing. How can anyone really say that, I mean it's a part of the earth, it's tree. How can anyone call a tree too pretty. It's so amazing to me, wood. I love it and Burnin I want it. I love the back of that guitar. Look at the swirls in that wood! Wow! I'm very jealous of you right now. Thanks alot. Where and when did you get it? ? Did you have it made?

That's a nice looking Tele I think. It still is simple, but less understated. My only concern though is that a relic'd or well played version of that guitar may be less attractive than the good 'ol blackguards or your average Tele once the gold plating wears off and the quilted maple turns gray around the edges (then again, '58 Les Pauls look pretty cool...).

Passion for Pretty
Shannon:
I think it is appropriate that you got the last post, as no one builds a more "pretty" Tele than you ("beautiful" might be a more appropriate word). I appreciate the passion with which you guys posted on this thread. Frankly, after considering all opinions, I don't think a Tele can be "too pretty." Twl things I think we've established, though. 1.) Pretty is subjective. 2.) Whether you consider your Tele pretty or not--play it for all it's worth and don't hide it in a closet!!!

You be the judge. This acoustic was handbuilt by Wayne Henderson, the Greatest Unknown Guitar Builder in America.
Wayne is the chap in the ball cap. Subtle plug. Wayne's story is told in 'Clapton's Guitar' by Allen St. John. Highly recommended reading for builders and players alike.

"I'm not just another pretty guitar builder"

I think the prettiest Teles are just the plain, bog standard blonde, sunburst, and black ones. If you get too carried away with the bling, it ruins the clean look that makes the Tele so aesthetically pleasing in the first place. I will say I like the look of a nice double-bound '62 Custom, though.

I was gonna say 'No' but then again
I saw this 2 Guy Sebastian Videos for comparison.
I like pretty Teles but the Tele on this vid didn't seem to fit http://dance.ten.com.au/video.htm?vx...CEgetVideoLink This one is the same tune. The Tele here just looks right to me and sounded better IMO. I love it when you can hear each instrument in the mix. P.S. Guy Sebastian is one amazing singer. I'm glad he did 'The Memphis Album'.
