Japanese bodies

Does a japanese Telecaster body match an American neck and hardware?

I am going to buy an alder body and finish it vintage blonde, buttescotch. Does any one have any tips on how I do this?

Any thoughts about how Japanese bodies fit with American necks?

Generally, it's a match.... just ask before you buy... be sure you ask for a replacement body for a Fender guitar. That's how they're supposed to be marketed.

I have used Japanese bodies with American necks several times (in fact, that's my favorite combo on a partscaster) with no problems. Here's a poor pic of a recent partscaster. This is a light ash Japanese 52 Reissue body with a Highway One Texas Tele neck. This one has Dimarzio Area T pups (I've been very impressed with these) and the guitar weighs in at 6 lbs, 10 oz.
