Welcome aboard mate!

Been playin' 25 years, got 4 guitars & 3 amps and I STILL tell my old lady "One of these days I'm gonna learn how to play this thing!"

Seriously, I'm 54 and I decided this year to teach myself to play jazz after playing rock & blues all my life. Great challenge! I'm going to new places in my understanding.

My old Dad took up banjo when he was about 60. He never played an instrument in his life but he decided it would be more fun to PLAY bluegrass than to listen to it.

Hardest part is getting past the painful and blistered fingers. Once you get past that wall you're cruisin'!

Welcome again. Yer one of us now

Welcome. Congratulations on understanding the great truth about aging. You're more likely too old to NOT start. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. A word of caution. It gets to be an obsession, and quickly.

never too old to learn, might take longer for some things to stick but never too old.
I started at 41 and literally had to move my fretting fingers into some chord positions with my picking hand, then strum. After a few years now, I have between 30 and 40 songs I can play with confidence. Yup there are a lot of guys who are better than I am but NO ONE has more fun than I do.
