Finally got pics of my Thinline!
It might not be traditional, but here's my only Tele! A slightly modded Thinline 72' RI with upgraded pots (500k) and I replaced the white pearl pickguard with a black one....much better...thanks to you guys! Enjoy, I know I do!

i love that plack pg!
i have a '72 as well (actually my only tele right now, though i have a gorgeous rosewood tele neck just waiting for a body). i was thinking about changing out the pickguard too, ive never been a big fan of the pearloid guards, too flashy i guess. anyways i was going to go with parchment but now ill have to give black some serious consideration. how are those 500k pots treating ya? |

The 500k pots helped a lot, though I think I need to lower the bridge pup cause it's a little harsh. I really only play it with just the neck pup...so smooth. I still need to fiddle about with it some more, but another amp will help out i'm sure (I only have a cube 60). The PG was a hard decision cause they both look great in my opinion. Good luck

I plan on doing the exact same thing. I'll replace the knobs as well, probably to those used on Deluxes. It's quite a stretch, though. Ordering that pickguard from Germany costs about 60€, which is around 90$ these days :(
