That's just tasty. I especially like the red and white bound body...

Outstanding

I agree. They are all nice. Have you posted anything on the red build that I missed?

No
I haven't really posted much on it.It has been kind of an experiment and I figured I had enough build threads on the go .It's been painted once, tried some amber tint in the grain filler, looked too yellow, sanded that off, then when I dyed it red the edges were pretty blotchy so thats when I decided to go with the black.
The binding was an experiment on laminating 5 layers together,2 thin white,2 thin red and then reg 0.060 white.Turned out pretty good but was a real bugger to do.

I have narrowed it down to 2 different guards,

Really wish I could find a White/Red/White guard.I think that would look great
I think I may take the neck off the black one in the pic and use it on this one.It is a off a Contemporary Tele and is all black

Marty!

You are a machine!

How do you do it?

Great job on the binding on the red one. Is the red binding plastic?

Dem's a lotta geetars, Marty. Very neat.

Hey, with that slanted pup selector blade, with a 5 way superswitch fit in there without any crunching?

I like the thinline and its pickguard shape. That seems like a great means of avoiding an unpleasant intersection of a full size guard and the f-hole ( I 'didn't notice' the bridge humbucker ).

Much obliged, anything ye can tell me about the switch, thx.

I'm not to sure. That plate come with my Kinmans.I got the no solder wiring harness,as cool as it is with the switchable cap,not sure if it's worth the extra money.Id does make installation a snap and looks very neat, just a bit $$$$.It comes with a 4 way switch and they even say in the instructions with the 4 way,you may need to open up the cavity a bit to make it fit so I'm thinkin the 5 way might be a bit big.I put the Kinmans in the Fircaster II and wasn't sure if I was going to be leaving them in there, and when I tried the plate I was going to have to take out some material so it would fit so I used a reg plate.
Hope this helps
