Highway One serial nr
Hi all!
Newbie here with a question, im about to finish my HW1 Tele, bought body only (wrecked neck) from the UK and completed with other (most Fender orig.) parts. My question is; can you read out the serial no from whats stamped in the neck pocket or from bar-code tags in the cavitys? Have e-mailed Fender Support/resource and the answer was "we dont do this". Cheers |

OK, the orig. neck is really the only place to find ser. nos on modern Teles?
The stamp in the neck pocket says Nov 16 2006 and a 5 or 6 digit nr., thats just some manuf. nr for the body then? |

The bar codes are just the parts numbers for each item the neck and body.
They will all have the same barcode so that doesnt help with the serial number.

Look at the bright side. Now you can install an aftermarket neck perfectly suited to you.
Got a couple of Highway One Tele 'upgrades' cheap, and it is all I can do not to divert some nice Warmoth necks I've finished from the bodies in finishing they are intended for. Those Highway One 'upgrade' frets are major huge. Bubbanov |
