Meyers Custom Guitars - Sweet Looking Tele
http://www.meyerscustomguitars.com/index.html
Just curious to see if anyone had any experience with one of these. The pics in the gallery section are very nice. Those semi-hollow teles sure are sweet. Thanks, B |

Look a bit weird to me. Probably wouldn't play one, just can't get used to the looks.

I think he does some nice looking work. I don't like his Tele shape as much as his Strat & LP styles, as it just looks a little out of proportion. But I suspect all of his styles look fantastic in person! Btw, here's the "Strat" style:

Well, I like the colors and the fit and finish is ok. I just don't care for the caricature body shapes. eemmv

Didn't really see anything I would call a Tele........... and this is going in my collection of worst headstocks........... although it's not as bad as some.

This guy has just the littlest storefront on Highway 24, I think by appointment only.
I need to ask around, find somebody who knows him or has played one of his builds. Every time I turn around, I find out about some musician or builder here in the New Orleans area, living around the corner from a friend, who knows half the guys in L.A. or some such thing. Everybody plays music here, everybody. Even now. Bubbanov |

it seems like all the luthiers of the last 15 years have been doing the same boring stuff.
always with a figured and dyed top wood, then another wood with an accent layer or binding, a pointy headstock and then a "custom" design that is just the same re-hashed stuff as before. |

The body shape isn't exactly tele, but the inspiration is there. I for one think that they look nice, with exception to the headstock. The Fender lawsuit-scare has created some ugly headstocks.
