Will a Warmoth Neck fit Japanese Fender Tele?

I have to replace my tele neck on a japanese fender 62 RI, one of the early ones. I havent been able to find any info that directly answers my question.

I believe a Warmoth tele neck will get ya real close...if not exact you should be close enough to fudge it. (FYI....Speaking from what I've read, not what I myself have done.)

It should build ok. If anything, the heel may be a minute fraction narrower.
Depending on fret board radius, the heel thickness should mike up at the last dot at maybe 1/64th over 1 inch, which should be fine or could be a smidge tall, which you can take off prior to finishing it yourself. I hope you don't find yourself with a bigger pocket gap, but with this mix, it is possible.

This is a major reason why I finish it myself, because I don't like something like a poly coat applied only to find it should have been tweaked.

A Vintage Modern Warmoth will have in pencil the width of the nut, and the 8 heels, whether Tele or Strat, measure up as to height and width very consistently. If you must have 21 frets, go True Vintage. I do not recommend the 'Pro' series necks there.

+1 on the Pro series recommendation. The double truss rod makes them way too bright, IMO.

Total Vintage Maple Tele Neck
1/4 Sawn Maple, one piece neck
1-5/8 width at nut
Standard thin shape
tuner hole size Schaller/Grover 11/32 - 25/64
fret size 6230
standard face and side dots
predrilled mounting holes

Those are the specs. I am going to get it fitted before finishing. A local guy sends his finishing to Lays Guitars and Ive heard great things about them. I also want to have my tele refinished in nitro so it looks legit and ages naturally. I have gotten some prices from many places. So far dallasvintageguitars has the best price. I am waiting for a reply from Lays. Any recommendations? Thanks

Warmoth Tele necks, in Fatback and Boatneck sizes, are beautifully faired into the headstock. great transition neck to headstock. On a standard thin, best to examine the back of the headstock, see if you like the contour before the finishing is attempted.
I actually can't leave the Fatbacks and Boatnecks alone, I 'Tadeo' them even further.

I've got a Warmoth Boatneck on my early 80's Squier Tele, and it fit just fine. I agree that I love those fatty's!

Some Do Not Fit very good . Boatneck to a MM body I would stay with the same companyfor Both!!! I thought I would save $50.00 and bought a MM and a Warmoth It cost me $60.00 to have it fitted right Buy the Warmoth Neck and Body and get a MM neck for the other.This way you will have 2 guitars
