Tom Anderson Cobra... PICS :)

Since I was duly chastised for not including pics in my Anderson review thread, here we are... I am thoroughly frustrated by my inability to take a picture that truly renders the depth of the quilt, but oh well... let's just say these pics don't do it justice!

Well, that is a F_I_N_E looking instrument. You can be very proud of that addition to your tele harem. Beautiful quilt. Quality at it's finest, IMO.
Congrats!
Michael

thanks for the kind words. I have been playing her non-stop. I think my Crook Tele is looking at me like she's jealous... to say nothing of my wife ;)

The wife will get over it. Send the Crook over to my house so she doesn't have to see you cheat on her. I'll take good care of her 'til you want her back.
Anderson makes a great guitar. TOP CLASS!
What amp are ya using during break-in? Have you tried all of 'em yet?

I have been playing through my Carmen ghia (Dr Z).

I trade my Carr HammerHead for the Fender 52 Hot Rod Tele I sold to pay for this guitar - yeah, even I am having a hard time keeping this straight

I only have two other amps... a Fender Blues Jr. which I keep at the office to jam whenever the desire strikes me to do so, and a Roland Microcube that my two sons have pretty much anschlussed at this stage... so I guess I have only played her through the Dr Z.

I want to buy a Mini Z Head soon. Can't wait to play the P90s through that baby!

you're welcome... thanks for the kind comments.

Funny thing is, I have been playing Teles for so long now that I had forgotten the amount of space a big fat P90 takes in the middle of the body

Very Nice!!!

Got several Anderson's myself. They are definitely the "cream of the crop" when it comes to musical instruments.

Plus the man and his company are 100%, top notch too!

How often do you get to call a company and get to speak directly to the owner about your questions????

I guess you can tell, I love them TAG!

That's a seriously nice looking guitar, and I think your photos are excellent. I also have to say, kind of as an adjunct to the post about Valley Arts, that the Tom Anderson headstock is probably my favourite after the Fender Tele shape. It is so simple, elegant, and plain right. But getting back to the Cobra... some of the best things about a Gibson, rolled into a Tele, and then put together by master craftsmen, what could be better than that? I know a lot of people, several who are pros, who having played Andersons bought their own and now don't play anything else, and that's a pretty ringing endorsement. Bet she will sound too kool for skool through a Mini Z with those pups!

Thanks guys.

There's a store about 30 minutes from here - MusicToyz - that sells Dr z amps. I may just have to take this guitar to them and try it through that new Mini Z amp head of theirs

Fantastic looking guitar... congratz. I'm sure it plays as good as it looks.
I played on a friend's Anderson some time ago & I must say: to this day, it's still one of the most precise, smooth & versatile guitar I have played on.

I played it this afternoon, just the Anderson in the Carmen Ghia, clean sound. Played along Alison Krauss tunes. Pure heaven
