G&L Tribute ASAT's

Does anyone have any input on the Tribute series ASAT's from G&L. I am looking at an ASAT Classic Premium with the swamp ash body any would appreciate some feedback from anyone who has played one or owns one. I intend to add either a Bigsby or a Hipshot at a latter date for a little extra versatility and would like some input on that as well.

Check with these guys....

There are several who have tried the Tributes, and they're good guys and will be glad to help.

I have a Tribute ASAT Classic Premium on order. The Tributes are excellent guitars. The pickups are the same as in American-made G&Ls and the overall quality is on par with American Series Fenders. The sound is classic Tele, but fuller and more balanced. Is there anything else you want to know?

I have a Tribute ASAT Special Plus. It's well built and I think it's a great sounding and playing guitar. I posted my thoughts on an earlier thread, so instead of repeating myself, I'll link you to it......

One thing I should add is that the G&L pickups are pretty high output compared to most Fender pickups. If you are used to a Fender Tele, you might find the G&Ls harsh and a little aggressive at first. Don't be afraid to play with the tone and volume controls on the guitar, the pickups are actually pretty manageable and after a while you'll find that they offer a lot of cool tones.
