New Tele in the works (Kevin content)

So after seeing Kevin's great work on the TDPRI here I decided to have Kevin make me a body. After several very friendly exchanges we agreed on the specs and the terms. Yesterday he sent me an email with the following pictures attached:

That's a nice looking body! He still had a bunch of routing and sanding to do so I figure I'll here from him in another week or so. To my surprise, I got another email from him this morning with new pics attached! He wanted to confirm the the control positioning before drilling. So here's the pictures I got today:

As you can see this is going to be a rocker tele with the 2 humbuckers. I've got a one piece wenge neck that's going on it. The pickups are going to be EMG silver anniversary's - they are basically 81's with special chrome covers and engraving.

Thanks Kevin!

Well, you're quite welcome, Tim.

I hope it works out for you. I still have to blend in the radii a bit more, and do some more sanding, but it's getting there. It turned out to look better than I had imagined. The grain is rather plain on this one, but it's kind of classy, in an understated way.

How much for the body with typical tele routing?
How much extra for the tummy and forearm relief?

Kevin, did you sand down the neck heel so it's tapered as well? Fromthe pics it's kind of hard to tell.

Kevin...Once again

Great looking body. I can attest to the excellent work and follow-up from Kevin. It is just a pleasure to work with someone who has as much knowledge an expertise as Kevin. To top it off, he is a fantastic person! Can't wait to see the finished guitar Tim.

Yeah; we thought we'd give that a try. I'd never done it before, but was willing to give it a shot. Tim sent me some pics of the ones that Warmoth and USACG do, and I tried to copy that.

The body's just a hunk of wood, though... What I'm anxious to see is the paint job. Maybe we'll see another installment of Dr. Seuss?

It looks (in shapre and design) almost exactly like my #1. It is a Schecter PT Elite with dual buckers (Mahog body). A SD Pro II necka nd Custom Custom Bridge. I have the Birdseye maple necks with Stainless wire from Warmoth. Love the tone, play and feel of it. It think you will love yours as well!
