Big Love for the names y'all give your guitars
I'm loving the names y'all are giving your guitars, not the girl names or whatever, but the take-offs on "Telecaster" ---

I've got a black AmStd with a rosewood board I call Jinx(it just fits), and a 3 tone burst Nashville I call Maebell(Mother that is).

![]() This one is Blondie: ![]() This one is Violet (tuners used to be that color, have scratched most of it off, as they are chrome under), though it also gets referred to as a "Frankentele." ![]()

The only names I'm doing are on some multiples of the same model; they're named after the community where they were bought. Clearwater, Orlando, Tallahassee, Harahan and Baton Rouge. Individual guitars with no twin don't need names.
And I print the serial numbers of the necks onto the heels when I sand off all the imaging on the front and back of the donor neck headstock. I put the pickup change info on a sticky paper square on back the neckplate, together with string size and install date. Well, at least nobody has named their guitar case yet, that would be a bit too... Bubbanov |

A friend of mine is the second owner of a white blonde '57 Tele he named Marilyn.
His everyday player is an early 70s yellowed blonde with a five hole reissue blackguard, a few mismatched parts, mystery pickups....named Madonna, because it's a trashier, perhaps faker version of Marilyn |

I plan to call my turquoise coloured Tele the 'T-Machine' - The Turquoise Telecaster Tone Machine, which sounds kind of lame, but I've got to make it (and me) sound important haven't I? lol
Or would 'Mr. T' be any better? |
