Bargain Bin Score or Not?

I had to go to the city today for work to pick up some stuff. When I got there the items were not ready and I had a 1/2 hr to kill.I asked the guy if there were any music stores close and he said there was a little shop down on the corner of the next block. He told me that it was owned by an old guy that built fiddles and repaired guitars.I decided to walk down there while I waited.
You should have seen this place.Junk everywhere
There was a table by the door with a bunch of crap on it and I noticed a little bag with some saddles in it.I picked it up and looked at it and they looked familiar.I asked the old guy how much and he asked if I had a toonie($2) in my pocket. As I give it to him he told me that the saddles were off a telecaster that he bought and he replaced them with stock Fender ones and that these were some kind of cheap aftermarket things

Well this is a pic of them. Are they Callaham saddles?
Do Callahams have a logo or anything on them?

I'm not sure who makes them, but I'd say you got a great deal for $2.

I love funky shops like that. Usually it's all garbage, but it can be fun to just browse around. Can't tell you how many hours the wife and I have spent in thrift stores and flea markets.

Just because one is old, does not make one wise.

All the guy had to do was try them, how could he not recognize their value?

Nice score.

Good on you!

Who would want crooked saddles on a Telecaster?

Was that in Edmonton?

On Stony Plain Road?

If it's the place I think it is, you're right, it's a mess. But it's still fun to look into.
