Headstock shaping
 This is the headstock from that MIJ 60's RI-like guitar I just posted about. Check out how the lower edge of the headstock is carved/tapered down to the front edge, that is purdy! My '84 MIJ Squier tele is the same, but before I sold it, I noticed that my 2000 MIM Std. headstock did not have this smooth, rounded-off edge, but had square edges all the way around the headstock. What other headstocks have this rounded bottom back edge feature (vintage teles, '52 RI, etc?). I don't see anything in the tele bible about it. Check yours and tell us. |
