Just to say Hi!

Hi everyone! name is Dave and I live in London, Ont. Canada. I now have 2 Tele's, a 6 month old Tokai MIJ '62 re-issue that I've put Harmonic Design pups in, and I just picked up an '85 MIJ esquire, double bound body, tobacco burst, rosewood neck. It's not playable right now as it's been neglected for 15yrs but it's in amazingly good shape. I just need a jack plug insert and nut, a collar for one of the machine heads, a good clean of the electronics, new strings and away I go. :)
I also have a '93 LP std. and a '90 Schecter Tradition Strat. Both are gathering dust since I put the HD's in the Tokai. Any info on the Japanese esquire would be appreciated, I can't find much on the net.

Dave

Welcome, from a fellow Ontarian/Canadian. I'm also a big fan of MIJ/CIJ Fenders and Tokais. You've come to the right place! I'm sure someone here will have some info.

Glad to be here guys and nice of you to say hi! Good to see there are some Ontario folks here. I've stripped the guitar right down and am proceeding with a couple of mods, I really can't leave well enough alone :) The body was already routed for a neck pickup, which I guess was standard practice, so that's made my mod decisions a lot easier. I've ordered 2 '54 special Harmonic Design pickups which should give me a more vintage vibe than my Tokai. I'm also replacing the tuners with a new set of Gotoh Vintage kluson style. I'll post a couple of pics when I get around to taking them. I think I saw a "double bound" club happening so I guess I can join that too.
