"FIREWOOD" TELECASTER ...Butchery at it's Best !

..'Here's one that I made around 13 or more years ago. It's an all original 1973[except bridge picup]. The thing had a huge hole chopped out of the back[with a screwdriver] ,and a 9 volt battery, and a transistor thing scotchtaped in there . I paid $350 for it ,in pieces ,which was over top dollar at the time. The dealer couldn't "Get arrested" with it ,so then he contacted me , knowing that I was a Sucker for broken guitars [Firewood]....'Here goes..... .. ...'I made the hole bigger, and put a home made 'string bender' device in there. All the parts came from the Home Depot hardware dept.[with the exception of a rod cut out of a chrome shopping cart] Those drawers there have everything you want ! Nylon bushings, stainless steel bolts ,spacers, pins screws,springs..,etc.and nobody there to bother you. ....minor orgasm... ....Then I put a mahogany "Fudgey the Whale" cover there. As long as I was "chopping" ,I figured I would throw an "F-Hole" on the front [like a ThinLine]. ....And then an "F". 'Chopped up a NEW picgaurd [Ouch ! =sin to chop new stuff}. ,Car paint laying around [Urethane enamel ,Buick red] ...

That linkage switch there flips the bender from 1/2 note = whole note ,quickly, while you are playing..ACCURATELY ! [some parts in the guts made from OLD giant tube tester. The bakelite tips too [shaved them down]

.The amp guts were from an early 60's Silvertone "Amp in case'' ,cardboard like" ,basicly a novelty item ,but cool. put on Fender knobs . 1/4 stainless channel, around hole [ I think from old refrigerator ] If you get one ,make sure it has the bigger power tubes [6v6] .

Yup.. One of my friends had one of those case amps back in Junior High.. It was pretty weak, but it was still cool. I was playing through a Mitchell Hi-Fi amp in a plywood box my dad built, with a 10" TV speaker in it. He put drawer pulls on the top so I could carry it. Pretty cool of him to do that.

I'm in. Definitely the coolest bender I've yet seen.

Only down side is less talented folks trying to imitate a really deft move here.
Please, sometime viewers, do not try this at home to your Christmas guitar!

Congrats, really great detail.
