Spent serious time during and after the big storm in booming Napoleonville, Assumption Parish, where if nothing else it is 23 feet above sea level.
Been in New Orleans since 1971, but I'm only 'round about half the time now. Marty, have you checked out the G + L dealer in Walker? Bubbanov Last edited by boris bubbanov : November 23rd, 2007 at 08:22 PM. |

Marty, the place is within visual of 190 on the North side of the street right in town. Jody Mayeux (sp). Biggest selection in Louisiana for G + L.
By the way, kudos to Rob and Lee at Guitar Center in Baton Rouge. I referred to Lee as Rich. (first name is Richard). Bubbanov |

You know how they say "I'm not, but I play one on TV". That's sorta my deal. I play fiddle (and occasionally Tele and steel) in a Cajun band up here in Seattle.

Well, Boris knows this already ... I was born in Leesville while my Dad was stationed at Ft. Polk. We moved away when I was just under 2 yrs old, so I can't really say I'm from LA, but I sure was born there!
I really think I need to go back some time!

Checking in from lower Lafourche Parish.
Hey Marty H, what part of Lafourche Parish you're from? Does the H stand for Hebert? Zoso, there's nothing like gumbo. Especially seafood gumbo. |
